The Gismo in Pismo

Adam and I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Pismo Sand Dunes in Oceano, CA last week! My brother had a sand car and some other toys for us to ride. It was truly an amazing experience. Driving on the beach with the sound of the ocean waves and the roaring engines was overwhelming and exhilarating, and a very cool and unique experience. We took the trailer right onto the beach and slept a stones throw from the water for only $10/night! you can book at www.reserveamerica.com, I HIGHLY recommend it! You can even rent sand quads and 4 seater cars at the beach for the day. Since the trailers are so light and easy to tow it didn't affect our gas mileage AT ALL! 

My brother and his family of 8 got an airbnb house around the corner while Adam and I camped with all the sand toys and our little teardrop, it was perfect! We were able to cook at the beach and the babies could take naps during the day inside the cool trailer, and then at night Adam and I stayed with the toys and got to wake up to the sunrise over the ocean. Scout (our awesome golden retriever) was able to join us as well, which is great because she LOVES the ocean! 

I just thought I would share our experience because I wanted to give an example of how the trailer was the perfect solution to our big family trip. Also I really wanted to get the word out about Pismo Beach! It was SO great as well as an inexpensive vacation when you rent one of our great campers!
